Designer specs.
7 Answers
I have recently purchased a pair of designer spectacles, most of the modern designer specs frames of today tend to have rather thick side wings.
Has anyone else noticed that they are not the best type of spectacles to drive in? This is due to the fact that one's side vision is impaired due to the thickness of the frame's side wings.

The ones I usually go for the thin metal rimmed ones that are 70 or less from Specsavers and I can get them paid for by work which includes the eyesight tests. The lenes are getting thicker though due to my sight failing as the years go by but I mostly wear contact lenes.
