Laptops????????
Can anyone recommend a good laptop.
We have a computer( obviously) but "our lass" says we should get a laptop so that she can do all her stuff (crafting mainly) and not be pestered by me for use of the comp. We would both need to be online at the same time on occasions. We have a router.

If you want to carry it about a lot, you need a small light one.
If that isn't important, get a big a screen as you can.
What do you intend doing with it? High end gaming or video editing needs a much more powerful computer than surfing the net and word processing, for example.
It is pointless paying 800 or more for a high spec machine when you don't use it to its full potential and a 300 one would do the job.

once you've figured out what sort of specs you want goto your local PC world and have a look at the machines and try typing them and using them a bit to find one you like the look and feel of.
once you have found one you like the look of make a note of the make and model and walk out, do not buy there and then. have a search about and find the cheapest place to get that model.
