auto pause signal

I downloaded some photos on to a CD/RW and when I tried to play them using a Sony CD/DVD player and a Panasonic TV the playback stops automatically after about 10 photos. The trouble shooting guide says this is due to "the auto pause signal". What does this mean and, how can I correct it?
