Hi peeps. Has anyone as yet undergone laser treatment to improve eyesight? Did it work? How much did it cost? Who did it? Would you recommend it?

I'm going to Optimax in Manchester, I only rang up on Monday. They have a cancellation system where they will charge 1/2 price if they have a cancellation in the following 14 days and you can make it. I'm having the Epi-LASEK treatment, where they loosen the outer layer of your eye with alcohol, move it away and then laser, and then move the layer back over. You have to then wear a "bandage" contact lens for 3 days. This helps the pain and quicker recover. Will let you know how it goes.........
Just had it done by Optimax in Glasgow.
It hurts for about 2 days after the op - I had epi - lasek, but the results are fantastic.
I can see better now (12 days after operation) than I could with glasses or contact lenses.
Optimax are very professional, I paid 695 all in for both eyes having bought the treatment on ebay. There are still some avail on ebay but the price is going up soon. Just do a search on ebay for laser eye.
