Double standards? Fat vs thin
25 Answers
Why is it that people think it is bad manners to tell someone they are too fat / or have put on heaps of weight. (and it IS bad manners indeed!)
BUT...
those same folk dont think a thing of telling a person they are too skinny / have lost too much weight etc....
Gets me mad

I think people automatically think you're ill if you lose weight. Especially if you were not over weight in the first place.

Thing is we need to be happy in our own skin and if it wasnt for other folk I would be, ive recently put on a stone and am thankful for it and people still call me skinny (and Im not).
They are not being helpful. If they meant well they would just say "youre looking good" or whatever without saying bigger or smaller.

Awww, thank you so much, weeal! :)) I feel so much more confident in myself... although I still sit with a cushion on my lap out of habit! :) Well done you, on your gain, too. x
How rude is that, ummmm?
8 miles?! You must be flipping fit now! Good on you! :)
My 15 year old brother is the only one I can rely on for a valid opinion; he's said I look far better now and whenever anyone says that I "wasn't that big before," he always says, "Yes, she was, she was a right pig!" Ha! :)
