Star Wars Original Trilogy released AGAIN?

Anyone else heard anything about this? George Lucas apparantly said at a recent convention that he plans to re-re-release the original trilogy, starting in 2007. Only this time in 3D.

Surely this can't be right? Can the fool not just leave things alone? All the time and effort re-jigging old work could be spent making Episodes 7-9.
