For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I did one, gina. I went to stay with my auntie for a week and her father in law (a driving instructor) took me out for 2 hours a day (one in the morning, one in the dark).
At the end of the week he told me I was brilliant... because he felt safe enough to have a kip on the way back to the house after every lesson. He was an old man, bless him. :)

gina, I think it's horses for courses. different things suit different people. I remember cramming loads of lessons into a few days, 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon, and it was really tiring. driving for 4 hours a day requires heaps of concentration.
I do think everyone needs to experience driving in different circumstances, weather, light, heavy traffic etc. I doubt you'll get all that from an intensive course.
