Blue man!! Please name this film.

When I was 4 or 5 I saw a film on TV (circa 1978) which featured a man in a bath who was completely blue (think he was trying to wash the blue off) but he was still blue after; gets the girl in the end, I think. Film possibly shot in the 60's. Been bugging me for years. Please help. Thanks.

there was film called "How I Won the War" made in 1967 with John Lennon in it were he turned up blue in war scenes. I'm not sure I've ever seen the full thing, but perhaps he gets into the bath too?? Just a thought.

The main guy in the film I'm thinkin of, was a bit of a Cary grant type and was set in a city. I've yet to see "How I won the war", but I know the one you mean. Didn't know Lennon turns blue in it.That's cool. Thanks for your suggestion though, Ingrid C L.
