I can't get iplayer as it detects that I am out of the UK (thus not paying a licence fee) so cannot catch up, but I've now read all the episodes - though it's not quite the same. I hated that Max!!

Max found out Lauren was seeing Peter Beale and Max threatened and hit Peter and told him to keep away from Lauren. That is why Lauren fell out with her father.
