Driving Test Appeal

I feel that my driving test examiner was unfair in failing me on my test. I feel that he stepped on the brakes unnecessarily which failed me. I am in the process of appealing but I would be really grateful if anyone with some expertise in this area would advise me on my chances and the best way forward.

The examiner will only step on the brakes as a matter of last resort to ensure your safety and the safety of other road users.
He may have seen something you were not aware of if you are convinced he was doing it unnecessarily.

If your appeal is successful you will get a free re-test.

I would spend my time and energy getting more lessons, more practice and re-applying for the test, rather than appealing

I'm genuinely curious, how can you appeal a driving test?

Sorry, I have nothing to add to the original question as I know nothing about it but I didn't even know you could appeal a driving test (not aware that you could back when I sat it). Surely it's just the examiner's word against the pupil and there can't be much doubt who they'll believe? Is there someone else sits in the car these days? Or is it filmed?

I agree with Ethel, if only you'll get a free re-test and not the PASS than I think is waste of time to do so.
