Hi just thought I would keep you updated. Cheers for the response sara. We went to court on Thurs his barrister tore me to pieces I made a mistake over which phone he had used to make the 999 call from and he kept saying I had lied under oath. Went back on Fri to listen to all the other evidence his evidence was a pack of lies and he was so arrogant the judge seemed very much in my favour but think the jury believed him. Its adjourned till tomorrow for judges summing up and verdict I,m not going convinced he will get not guilty, the only thing I could not understand is the judge increased his bail conditions as well as the ones already in place regarding me he put him on a 6 till 6 curfew all weekend my barrister says this is very unusual as he has not broke his original conditions. So if anyone has any suggestions as to why this is the case would much appreciate..Will let you all know when I know anything. One thing I do know I will do everything possible to avoid ever having to be a witness again I was made to feel like the criminal.Cheers for the support

sorry, I missed this yesterday. so what happened today?

don't feel bad about the court case. barristers are there to catch you out and try to make you slip up.. then you get flustered and.. it's bloody hard work! it sounds like you did your very best.

interesting about the bail. maybe the judge knows more about him than you think.

well done anyway, it's a huge thing and you've got through it! update me when you know x

He got not guilty I knew he would cant believe the lies he told. I didnt go to court today because I knew he would get off. The police made a mistake in their statement which made it look like I had lied as well.
oh Shell, I'm sorry. what a piece of sh*t he is.

look, hold your head up and think of your lucky escape. you're not a victim any more. look forward and enjoy life, and look out for the warning signs in a relationship. you are who you are, and not who someone else wants you to be. stay strong.

I'm proud of you, many women wouldn't have got as far as you did. good on you x

He will be laughing at me now cant believe I let the police talk me into it they were convinced they would win.
he won't be laughing, he'll be shocked that you're not still that woman who was terrified of him.

I felt nothing when I saw him in court he looked like a pathetic little man. Cant believe I let him have control over me. He wouldnt even look at me till he was walking out of court and then he smirked.
I am sorry Shellp at the verdict but you had the courage and did the right thing. Sara is right, hold your head up and be proud of yourself.

I hope you can put the loser into the past cause I know you have found it difficult not to think about him. Remember what he was like, a little man who has lost control of you, when you last saw him in court and keep that image in your head.

Best of luck for the rest of your life !!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone he is history. I will never have faith in the justice system again from what I heard the Judge did just about everything possible to get a guilty verdict but the jury didnt agree.
