I bought one and think that it s a super machine. I am running Vista Home Premium and find it a bit more trouble than the XP on my desktop. I have had a few problems but they seem to be able to sort themselves out. I do find the Dell site pretty good if anything does go wrong. Mine has been unable to shut down, and also at times unable to open. The Gadget bar disappeared once but it was easy enough to get it back.

many thanks for your reply.is battery life a problem?i have read forums that say they don't run the laptop for the specified time in some cases 11/2 to 2 hours only.
