Allspice v Mixed spice

I posted something similar on the Food and Drink site before I spotted the Recipe section. Is allspice the same as mixed spice? I've seen allspice in a recipe but can't get any.

Used in Caribbean cookery and curries
No they are very different. Mixed spice is a ( Guess!! ) mixture of various spices including cinnamon . All spice is a savoury ground pepper.

Tesco sell Allspice, in their "Ingredients" range. I bought some last week, I think it was about �1.45 for a little jar, but it'll last ages.
