cleaning paving slabs

I want to clean my paving slabs. I have jet-washed them but I am still left with black spots which are unsightly. I have a feeling this is residue from a sealant which was applied by a previous owner. Any suggestions how I can remove these spots?

have you tried a bucket of bleach brushed into the black bits? leave for a while then rinse and see if that helps

Brilliant! Cleaned off every spot. I've tried various solutions (petrol etc) without success Many thanks
