Vista Icon Sizing a New Problem ?
6 Answers
One of the most annoying Vista features for me is the display of large icons despite the resolution setting of max and 32 bit on my large monitor. They will not scale down below 16 but look enormous
I used to be able to position the mouse on the desktop (close all other windows) , hold down the CTRL key and then use the scroll on the mouse to resize them neater, sharper and smaller.
I have just received a number of updates and this simple procedure which I have advised others on many occasions does not work now.
Anyone have any ideas, could it be an update ?.
Also had to enter all log in details on Answerbank today..very odd

I had tried your first answer and even the small icon size option is huge. When you go Personalise. theme etc..through advanced it would not go below 16 by default.
Vista Business and all updates to last Friday is my status.
It was OK with my resized method a week ago. They have changed today and do not respond.
