By the way, breakfast in hotels is expensive compared to cafs. Pop into one nearby for breakfast or cheaper still grab a croissant in a bakery and then go for your coffee. Don't eat your croissant there unless they don't do breakfasts but eat it before.
I have just returned from Paris and stayed in Hotel Villa Eugenie. 3/4 star and fairly quiet and safe residential area. Hotel was very clean and staff very nice. No tea making in room. Breakfast was included and worthwhile. Hotel was decorated in expensive fabric wall covering throughout and very nice. We walked into centre from there it was about 30 minutes to the concorde and took metro back at night. Rome metro station 700metres 8.5 minutes walk. I used Thomas Cook website to book.
