Lump on top of foot?

Does anyone have any idea what this lump is on the top of my left foot? its really squashy,not painful and has been there since i was a kid but has grown in size quite a lot as ive gone older,its on the top of my left foot and here is a pic of it http://img135.imageshack.us/my.php?image=abcd0 001yv4.jpg any ideas?

Hi Kevo... looks like a ganglion (a benign cyst). If it's not causing you any trouble, don't worry about it but it's easy enough to get treated - have a word with your GP.

yep bursur or cyst....easily removed with local anesthetic. See gp.

Yes had one of these years ago went to doc it was a fatty deposit apparently you can get them from your shoe not fitting quite right. it disappeared without trace
