Identity and Authorship

Hello to all,
I have to write an essay on how identity impacts on authorship, but I am at a complete loss! Does anybody have any suggestions for books which might be of help?

hey, I'm not quite sure what you're asking here, If you want reference books to give you help then i don't know, but if you're after books that are influenced by the identity of the author then here are a few:

Noughts & Crosses - Malorie Blackman
A Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde
Face - Benjamin Zephania
All those picture books that Madonna wrote
Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck
The Womens Room - Fay Weldon
I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings - Maya Angelou

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head, sorry if it's too late or they're not what you're after. Still, they're all worth a good read.
