My daughter has written her name on her flute case in permanent silver marker and it won't come off. Then she tried to cover it with permanent black marker and this has made it worse. We would like to sell it but can't in this condition. Can anyone recommend a solution that might remove it, or a spray paint that might cover it. It is a black, hard case, similar to that of a violin case, and we are scared of making it even worse. Thank-you.

You could try putting a trendy all weather -proof plastic sticker on that area. That should cover up the spot as well not look bad.
