Were about to make some wine, sherry, beer?

hubbie and I , are about to make wine, sherry, beer?
for the first time in 22 yrs.
Got loads of demi johns, bottles etc, most of what we will need.
But where do you start ,in choosing whats best , and cheapest on the market ? Any ideas ?

I have started making wine from kits,which are quite good nowadays.Did try rice and sultana some years ago - it was extremely potent,I couldn't give it away!
There are some very good liquer recipes on the net though. Good luck

I was told that rice and sultana wine was a brilliant taste, and very potent.!
Wil try and read up just how its made.
I can taste a brew coming on !

my husband and i have been brewing wine from kits for a number of years and we can recommend magnum medium dry available mail order via web site

we both prefer med sweet wine ---or---
some sort of pale cream sherry taste, if you know what I mean.
But will look for the one you mentioned though.

pusskin,check out home brew shops in your area, you can do this on the net,I did find online sites more expensive , and you can buy kits for almost anything but they do give you guidelines for adding more sugar to adjust to your taste.

Morissons do a very good 5 gallon / 6 week one. Iv'e got through a few gallons of it in my time, hence my name!!!
