Thanks Ethel. It still seems to me that this is an odd burden on our HC - even if (presumably) the loser pays for its use. Can't it say to them 'go away and play your silly game somewhere else'? I thought HC dealt with important stuff.

This is not costing the tax payer one single penny; it is raking in money for the legal system and no doubt local hotels and services will benefit greatly too.

I don't know what relations are like between the US and Bahrain.

There is a possiblility the prince wouldn't be allowed in to the US.
