Programme removal

I have an unwanted programme named Zango which I want to remove. I go to Control Panel then Remove Pragramme but when I click on Zango the page freezes and I can't get rid of it or switch off the laptop in the usual way. Please, can anyone tell me how to get rid of it..

There is a removal tool at the Zango site here which may do the trick. If that doesn't work http://spywareadwarehelp.blogspot.com/2006/11/remove-zango-from-your-computer.html gives instructions for removing it manually, but please note that the instructions seem to cover Windows versions up to XP only and not Vista.

I have'nt used this myself, but it is the official way to remove Zango- go here http://installs.zango.com/downloads/Uninstalle r/Uninstaller.exe- follow the instructions and I hope it works for you.

My thanks to Huderon and richtee for their expertise in solving my problem. It was rectified in seconds after following your advice. (I wish I was clever like you two, but at 78 years old I don't hold out much hope) but it's good to know there are folk like you to help. Very many thanks and best wishes.
