What does it mean when a car won't start? This morning early, I moved it a few feet. Then later on when I went to go out...it refused to start. In the year and 4 mths that I have owned it, this is the 2nd time that this has happened. The first time, it started after a few tries...this time, not. Help.

It's something to do with the engine management system not having had enough time to sort things out .What to do is to floor the accelerator and keep it there  turn the key continually until the engine fires ...similar to what you used to have to do when an engine flooded .When it starts just drive away as normal.

Yes that would probably the best course of action, is it by any chance a late Vauxhall? because the same thing happened to me, I thought my cambelt had gone because it sounded as though I had no compression!

It seems to be a common problem with modern cars.
