Food for thought.

A bunch of people, who seem to be a law unto themselves, have seized an oil tanker carrying $100m of crude oil. Clearly they are illegal pirates.

So if another bunch of people, who also seem to be a law unto themselves, seize an entire country, along with 112, billion barrels of oil ... what does that make them?

Aren't pirates technically only pirates if the rob things at sea? I mean we wouldn't class a shoplifter as a pirate - unless he had a peg leg, parrot and eyepatch and was running out of woolies singing a sea shanty.
