Has anyone got a Rotato potato peeler?

I bought one on the strength of so many good reviews, but I was disappointed with it.

I think it's a great idea. Very good for folk who have arthritis in their hands, Raynaud's Disease, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, folk who hate peeling tatties, or folk who are just plain lazy (guess which category I belong in).
Problem is, the flipping thing is very hit and miss. Sometimes works, sometimes a dead loss.
If you read the reviews, most of them sing its praises. Mostly Americans, I think. Perhaps it's just me.

To be honest, I liked the sound of it because it claimed to be able to peel oranges, apples, vegetables, all sorts. I make a lot of fruit salads and I hate having to peel all the fruit, especially oranges.
This thing is not robust enough to do the job though. A very good idea, IMO, if the design was improved.
It gave us a laugh though.
BTW, hiya sis! x
