loss of vision in half of eye???

hi all,

hubby came home early from work this evening after having a painful problem with his eyes, he was at his computer when he felt a bit funny like you would maybe with concusion and the right half of his right eye was very blurred and he couldnt see properly for nearly an hr then had a shooting pain and now both eyes are aching. both eyes look fine and he is his usual jokey self, any ideas hes 36 and being dragged to docs tomorrow!

Not 100% sure, but it could have been a migraine. Best to see what the doctor says though.

no definately not a migrane as he already gets them as do i. isnt to keep on the docs but tough cookie for him im affraid as hes going!!. did a few searches and they all say to seek doctors diagnosis as a priority. thanks tho x

Eye ischemia can cause the problem you described nh. This can last from several minutes, to several hours. best to go and have it checked out though.

Certainly sounds vascular(involving blood veesels) and I must agree with cariad84 and Ice maiden.

It does sound like migraine (which is of course vascular) but the bottom line is he needs investigation by a Consultant Ophthalmologist.
