Is it possible for an English oops! UK ex pat living in Spain as a legal registered spanish resident to open an english bank account, without an English address.

Thanks Ethel, but I want an English Bank Account, as the interest rate as always been better than Spain, and you are guaranteed if they go bust, but you are not in Spain. When applying on line they always want a Utility Bill from an English address which I havn't got.
Surely people out side the U.K. have accounts there.....

Hi, it is possible but you may find it quite difficult, your best bet would be to open an account with an offshore bank. Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man.
