ABH & Common Assault
2 Answers
a few months back i was attcked after a night out by 3 females, yes females. they attacked me and dragged me all over in the process breaking my cheekbone, cracked ribs, 2 black eyes and a cut lip, i fought back basically to get them away, catching 2 of them in the process. i still do not know how this started, i may of made a rude comment, im not sure, but that doesnt give anyone the right to do what they did. it was sent to the CPS and they have come back and want to summons me to magistrates court for ABH and common assault on 2 of them, these are minor injuries i may add, my injuries are fairly serious but the CPS seem uninterested in me, as its 3 words against 1, these i find totally unfair. i am a law abiding citizen and have never been in trouble with the police ever. i dont mind going to court and fighting my argument but it seems they already have made there mind up. what is likely to happen, please help.

You should be betting on them contradicting each other in court. Any witness can make a mistake and memory might be impaired after an assult, but if innocent the statements will comfortably enough ad up. I they are lying and need to make up their 'truth' a good solicitor can create doubt through contradiction.
Believe it or not and no offence meant - if your a gay male, you stand a much better chance...
Better not to drink to much for a start, then you might remember if you made rude comment or not!
