mrs c .the old boy i was a carer for is in
a care home but now falling over ..and looks
like a punch bag...you read horrible things in the
papers about abuse of the elderly ..the home has
a good rating ..carers on the day shift are lovely ..
but what happens at night ... so who do trust ..
it took them 3 days to get the GP as i said i thought
he had a chest infection ...and he has one ....

he could be injured due to his bouts of falling over, my elderly neighbour looked shocking because he kept falling over in the weeks before he passed, night shift are as good as the day shift in a good home, its the same staff who take turns doing different shifts.If you are worried why not arrange a meeting with the head to discuss your fears?

Sorry to hear about your old boy, t'only. When I read your posts about him, I think about my uncle who is now in an old folks' home. He's in his eighties and frail. He didn't want to leave his flat, but he had to be taken in when he put a frying pan on the cooker and forgot about it. It set his flat on fire but thankfully he was unharmed.

It's so sad. I think I know how you feel, t'only. x
