Anthony Robbins

A friend of mine is trying to convince me to go with her to the London Excel Arena to an Anthony Robbins week end (beg. of May 2005). It is a lot of money but she says it can change my life. I don't think I had heard of him before. Does anyone know anything about him please?

I am a fan of sorts - his message is a good one - take control. His use of NLP, or rather, his introduction of NLP into mainstream, is excellent and everyone should understand the basic principles. However I disagree with some of his stuff as it has religious overtones and I also think his dietary info is wayward. In short, I would not go without reading a couple of his books. Also, do not accept anything from self styled gurus without questioning and accepting them yourself. I would recommend 'unlimited power' as a good start, about 7 quid from any bookstore, gives you a good basic understanding. I would be dubious about spending so much money (I know it is a lot) without embracing his ethos first.

I have seen his TV ads and had a look at his web site, and I think it looks really good. I would go if I could! He is basically a life coach. Really good if you feel in a rut, out of control, unhappy at work etc. If you are content with your lot, I wouldn't waste the money!!x

He isn't religious or part of a cult!! He just points out things and makes you all fired up to change your life for the better. He puts things in perspective. yes, maybe this site or a goo mate could do the same, but he really is very skilled at it!

Hgrove - there's money in this, most of it for Mr Robbins. Go, but be careful, and don't let your pal make you do anything you don't want to do.

I too was very sceptical about Tony Robbins, I had never heard of him 5yrs ago and after winning a competition at work myself and 2 colleagues went to London waiting to be convinced.

After the first 10 minutes in the conference I was ready to walk out I was not going to be part of  this               �happy clappy American rubbish� however either fear or curiosity stopped me walking and by day 3,
I was beginning to enjoy myself.

I won�t go in to how it changed my life just to say that I changed certain things in my life.
My two friends who also attended enjoyed the course more than I did they became empowered and decided they could achieve anything. Friend number 1, now runs his own Telecoms Company in Cheshire and has done for the past two years. Friend number 2, purchased the UK rights to the RU21 hangover prevention, you may have seen how successful this has been in the UK he now has distribution rights all across Europe. And me before Tony Robbins I was living in a small terraced house and plodding along in my sales role. I now live in a 260k four bedroom detached house, last year I was top sales person and won a trip to Monaco and this year with only one week to the end of the financial year I�m again top sales person and on course for a trip to Portugal and again hitting a six figure salary.

This is truly genuine, I have 3 children and one on the way I will ensure when they are old enough (16/17 maybe?) I will take them to a Tony Robbins conference and ensure they get a head start in life.
 I only wish I had known about Tony Robbins 20yrs ago.  I changed only small things in my life Tony Robbins gave me the key.

I say go with an open mind don�t let the first day put you off and enjoy.
