Who Is The Stig 2

I know many many of you will know this and may think im stupid as this has probably been covered many times but my partner and I still arent sure who is the stig 2 and who was the stig before, thanks

This question has been asked countless times here and there is no satisfactory answer.

It seems 'Stig' is many people. Ben Collins name often pops up, although he denies it.

Yes, it has been asked (and answered!) at least a miilion times here on AnswerBank! But I appreciate the search function on here can be a bit "hit and miss". The wiki entry is quite accurate. Anyway - here's some of my posts from previous threads;

Sometimes you will actually see the various test drivers used (like Luca) if they are racing each other (say a Ferrari vs a Porsche) and Stig can only actually drive 1 car at a time! Ex-Renault F1 test driver (2003) Alan McNish has been used as well in the Renault F1 cars and other hot Renaults.

Forgot to add - it is this "air of mystery" that leaves the producers free to put whoever they want into the white suit. Hence why Ben is always at pains to deny it.
