In the current finantial gloom when it is likely that the markets have not reached rock bottom,are premium bonds a good haven for sum of �30.000.00 until things begin to brighten up?

But when you consider the returns on PB's have gone down a lot due to interest rates falls,you're not likely to get a great return on your money (unless you win one of the few big prizes).
If you put �30K into PB's you should with average luck,win 10 prizes per year. Assuming they are �50 prizes,then that's �500 - not a lot!
I had a quick look on Moneysupermarket.com and you can still get an easy access account paying 6.50 % Gross or 5.20% Net,which would give you �1950 or �1560 interest!

Bonds, better still if government are always a secure investment option. I have been trading forex through AVAFX broker and have had consistent earning, as per the strategies. So you ca have fairly good results even with something as risky as the forex while the rather safe investments may go bust.
