My Tansy, (a short-haired tortoiseshell female), is 21yrs old, which makes her 147yrs in human terms. At the present she is very well, her fur is in good condition, and despite having lost one eye in a road accident at 9 months old, together with a broken hip and back leg, she's the top cat around here. She keeps my two large tom-cats in order. She came to live with us three and half years ago, when my friend died, but having known her since she was a kitten she soon settled down, and now rules the roost. I wonder if she will catch up to Mischief one day. I hope so!!!
It's me again,
I just remembered seeing an article in the local newspaper some years ago, about two ginger tom-cat brothers, who lived at a hotel in Cheshire. They were brothers from the same litter, and were 26yrs old. The report in the paper was recording the death of one of the cats, and two weeks later the other cat passed away. The owners believed it was due to him pining for his brother. I remember seeing them both sitting on the garden wall outside the hotel, and they were really handsome cats. I thought reading the news, what a lovely long life they had. So at the moment it's looking like Mischief is the Champ!!!

I don't think that cats show their age like dogs and humans do. Mischief doesn't look a day over three.
As long as they are fit and not too senile old cats can have a great life. My two are only about 3 and are just youngsters compared to Mischief. If I don't strangle them first they might live long lifes too.

Hi eash, mine are both around 16 years of age and seem to be in pretty good health. Bandit and Ozzie are both rescue cats and were just over and just under a year old when I got them. Your post is comforting as I was starting to realise that they possibly would not be around for too much longer and this gives me comfort that perhaps they have another few years in them yet!!
Wolf I remember you posting to let us all know that you had just got your two monsters! Glad to hear that they are still causing you grief! They would not be proper cats if they were too well behaved or did not rule the roost!!
Cheers Sue
