Hi... Paul Ferris was a self proclaimed gangster who was suspected of murder. In 1992, after the longest ever murder trial in UK history, Ferris was acquitted of the murder of the son of his former employer, the supposed �Godfather' of Glasgow's ganglands.

In 1998, he was jailed for seven years for trafficking guns and explosives. Shortly before his release in 2002 he said he intended to renounce crime, and started to write books.

You should read his book, The Ferris Conspiracy, its a damn fine read. Im sure that Paul Ferris has been made out to be something he is not by the media in scotland, pretty sure he's no angel, but I dont think he is a threat to the man in the street.

take it from me, i have read his book and i know what he has done over the years. he is a drug baron and the most notorious criminal in glasgow, he is definately no angel\!!!

Bellasasha, I also have read Mr Ferris`s Books and yes he has committed crimes he freely admits that in his books, but as always where things like this are concerned there are always bits added on!! In my opinion Kafy Mr Ferris had a lot of problems with Police harassement as well. It would be worth your while reading the books and making up your own mind Mr Ferris is no longer involved in crime but writes books as a detterant to the younger generation not to glorify crime and the man should be left alone any crime he committed he has done his time and is now in a legal profession.

I went to shool with Bobby Glover and new of some of the various "Neds"mentioned in his books,the Welshes etc.

I originate from Blackhill and still family living in the area.Sorry to say Mr Ferris is a low life Ned.The mysery he has brought to peoples lives with drugs and violence is totally out of order.

I hope one day he really does get a good "doing".

Bellasasha no-one is saying Paul Ferris is an angel he has done the crime and paid his time . He vowed to stay out of prison 5 years ago and has not been in trouble since that day he has never reoffended . What more can you ask of someone ?
