I just caught the tail end of a prog. on radio 4 and they were discussing something named bloggs or a blog or was it blocks???? It was all a bit fresh to me , but I think that it refers to a means of blurting out opinions and comment for general access on the net.

What, who, how and when, I ask myself, or does that count as four questions...........or 5 now.......???

A blog is really just an internet log. Anyone can create one on any subject they please and then everyone who reads it can reply and contribute to it. A bit like a bulletin board. Just type in "blog" into Google and all will be revealed.

I believe it is an abbbreviation of weblog.

Oh...and here is a good definition...(not mine)...

"A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog.
