Should have stayed in bed...
19 Answers
On my way into work I found a dead cat on a grass verge, it had a collar on but no owner details so I phoned the cleansing dept to get it collected, but it wasn't a great start to the week. It was only a lickle tabby :-(
Then I got into work and found that the boiler has been out of action since Thursday and tis flipping freezing! Usually I am quite warm at work so only put short sleve on and am now sat at my desk in scarf and coat.
Wish I had stayed in bed today. Just keep thinking of the poor lil puddy cat and some poor owner is probably looking for it.....

If it is still there you could take it to a local vet in case it's micro-chipped or the owner has reported it missing. They can also arrange for cremation (it won't cost you anything, (unfortunately I have had to do it a couple of times). Hope the rest of the day is better

I don't drive bensmum so it would mean taking a dead cat in a bin liner (we can't find a big enough box) on the bus with me to the vets, and I don't think it would make me too popular LOL
My cat went missing in August and he looks just like the one I found this morning, only much larger. I am still determined that mine is going to turn up on Christmas morning with a big bow round his neck and be sat at the back door waiting for me ;-)
Thanks for the answers everyone. 4get, it is Monday thus you don't need a reason to be peed off.
Sgt Rock, good idea, espeically in this financial climate. Perhaps I should stick it in the freezer and we should have it Xmas day?

It's still on the pavement danchip - they said it should be within the next few hours, I offered to collect it and bring it outside my office so that at least kids and people don't have to pass it but they said to leave it where it is. I just don't want any nasty people to poke it with sticks, or I may very well poke them with something bigger and pokier.
