I have just bought a new Acer 24inch monitor (x243w LCD monitor) and although it says analogue input that there is no peep out of it. When I bought the screen I was under the impression the sound was built into the monitor.
Any help available - the screen was bought from Pixmania.
What model and type?
Not all LCD monitors have speakers fitted for sound. Mine's a Samsung Syncmaster and I have no speakers with it. I have a seperate sound system. Analogue refers to the type of video imput.
Sorry bit thick this afternoon, just realised you did quote a model no!!!!!
As far as I can see you have no speakers built in to the Monitors according to Acer.
thanks for your replies. I have now decided to return the monitor and ask for my money back. Although there is no complaint about the monitor in general I cannoot do without sound.
PS there is no way a sound cable or external speakers cn be fitted.
Just so you don't make the same mistake again. The fact that it says analog has nothing to do with audio. Monitors come with 3 kinds of connectors Analog (also known as D9 and VGA), DVI, and HDMI. So it just means that it takes an analog video signal as opposed to a digital one.
after deciding to send the monitor back I was sent a return label by adobe. Whatever I try to copy (print) this, my printer only throws blank sheets out. It prints other matters but nothing from adobe. Any help to print this label off. I have not run out of ink.
