Duct tape a couple of candles to an alarm clock with the bells on the top, stick on a balaclava and then make it so the alarm sounds. When it does, run around in a panicked manner shouting "Oh my God, I've set it to explode an hour early!" and chuck it an unsuspecting passerby.

darken your skin ( if your white) and look really nervous and fidgety with some hand luggage,

i was in an airport recently and there was a little old indian guy in the line to check in just infront of me, the guy he was with explained to the staff that he had only flown once, was from some sort of religious commune in the middle of the indian mountains, wasn't used to large crowds of people and didn't speak english.

due to this he was obviuosly nervous and kept checking hisbag and was generally restless and probably petrified
the other passsengers in the lounge were staring at him, pointing and a number went and spoke to security about him so obvioulsy he was scaring them

There is a Notice posted prominently at the Security Desks at O'Hare Airport in Chicago that says this:

IMMATURE ACTIVITIES OR JOKING AT SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS IN AIRPORTS IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND RENDERS YOU LIBALE TO IMPRISONMENT.

I think EVERYONE should contribute to that sentiment.

Its amazing how many people think it is amusing to answer the security questions at check-in with "yeah i've got a bomb in my bag" or similar.

Strangely they didnt find it so amusing when i called the armed police and they get carted off to the airport nick for a few hours..
