Intermittent loss of sound on TV

I have noticed recently that the TV temporarily loses sound, just for a few seconds, it seems to be happening quite often . has anyone else noticed this? is it to do with the digital switch over or something? its very annoying!

i thought it was my system playing up

I live in Swindon and I get that on my Freeview box in my bedroom. I'm on NTL in the living room.
