I've had no electricty pretty much all day, have water leaking down from the flat upstairs and waited in til 3pm for an Argos delivery before finding out they'd left it with my neighbours, grrr!
Missed my last chance to see a friend before Christmas beause of it too!
What a day lol :) FInally managed to get the laptop and TV on and it's a damn good excuse for a takeaway so silver lining and all that :)
How's everyone else this evening?

I'm feeling more sane now Steve :)
It's amazing how much you take it for granted having electricity! Couldn't even make a cuppa or dry my hair earlier (had to hide in a hood to walk to Tescos to get some non-cookable food as looked a right state lol :)).
Happy now I've got my laptop back on and TV, felt lost earlier! Takeaway on the way as can't use the kitchen so every cloud and all that!
Managed to isolate the bit in the kitchen that has tripped but the leak is still leaking so I shouldn't speak too soon!

Hey Sachs :)
Better indeed :) Really looking forward to my takeaway (hope they find me better than the Argos man did though lol).
I've decided it would be tempting fate to try and put my new filing cabinet together tonight so will save my life organisation attempts until tomorrow.
I think I may even have a wee drinkie tonight!

Jen.. it's never dull at your place! enjoy your takeaway.
I've wrapped (almost) all my pressies, put the tree up, then my daughter's laptop wireless connection died and I ended up doing a "destructive windows reload(?)" (Chuck would have been proud of me!). I was a bit stressed, but all is well now.
I fancy pizza...

I've got a chicken biryani on the way and some poppadums and red sauce...mmm :)
Got some port and lemon stashed away for later too.
Watching Strictly at the mo but looking forward to Merlin after, have a bit of a thing for the lovely Arthur!
Am hoping the people from upstairs come back soon knobbs, left a note on the door. Just hoping they haven't gone away else I'll have to ring the water people.
When I lived in Leeds I got really worried about the neighbours as hadn't seen them for a while and there was washing and their child's toys in the back yard. Went on a reccy and there were damp patches all over the outside wall and managed to see in the lounge and the ceiling had collapsed with water everywhere!
Called the police who did sod all so found another neighbour to switch the water off at the mains and we tried to trace them without success.
They appeared back a few weeks later from the kenyan jungle. House was a mess, they were out for 6 months while it was fixed and they water company charged them for the water which flooded their house bless em. All for a burst pipe as it was cold.
