We have just bled some of the radiators in the house and the pressure guage has gone down. The boiler started making a squeaking noise.

Can anyone make any suggestions as to what you can do

Put more water in the system to replace the gas you've just released.

Suggest you ensure you have the correct pressure when, as buildersmate suggests, you refill. Check your user manual.
