I've watched all the episodes of LD and it left too many questions.
What were Mrs Clenham's secrets, I accept that Arthur was not her real son , but so what, and what did she keep secret about Amy Dorrit. The villain knew but his accent was so bad I never knew what he was saying

How did the French/Italian villain learn of this for him to make the journey to England.

What became of the Maxine Peake character ?.

I am in total agreement with you kestrelg. I was flumoxed by the whole thing! The Maxine Peake character and the french guy have me baffled. I got absolutely lost re: the whole the baby thing and at one stage I thought that Arthur and Amy were brother and sister. Someone please - put us out of our misery!

However, like you, I'm still none the wiser as to the significance and/or outcome of Maxine Peake's character and that of Tattycoram/Harriett.
