Does anyone share my irritation at those constantly moving or scrolling features - usually adverts? (You may be seeing one or two on this page.) Occasionally it's possible to block or stop one temporarily by clicking 'rewind', but usually the only options are 'zoom', 'play', 'loop', 'forward' and 'back'. More often than not it's something to do with Adobe Flashplayer, which I detest because of it.

Mozilla Firefox used to show useful little tabs to click and make unwanted items disappear, but that doesn't seem to be happeneing any more. Is there any other way of dealing with this please?

Firefox itself has never blocked anything like that.

There is an add-in for firefox that will block them though.

Click on tools and select add-ons, make sure your on the get add-ons tab and search for "ad block plus" Install that and restart firefox and most of the adverts should be blocked

Thanks Chuck. I have now downloaded the add-on and interested to explore how it works.
