Yes it would be perfectly correct to refer to a "flock" of parrots, however, there are two other collective nouns I have seen used: a "company" of parrots or a "pandemonium" of parrots.
I was also very tempted to add a "poly" of parrots...

Take your pick from company, flock, pair, pandemonium, prattle or psittacosis.

I discovered the page Collective Nouns for Birds yesterday. There's some seriously bizarre stuff in here.

My suggestion would be a fjordfull of parrots.

Noisy!

Messy. Each parrot will poo about once every hour.
 A westlife of parrots.
I thought you last suggestion was a disease, Xollob ?
I was referring to psittacosis, by the way - not fjordfull !!
It is indeed, brachiopod. The list also includes a schizophrenia of hawks and - my favourite - an incontinence of yellowlegs.
A spam of parrots?
A bowl of corncrakes? Oh, come off it :O)

Like the yellowlegs one, Xoll, and your corncrakes, littleoldme !!

How about a drizzle of honey buzzards?

A reliant of robins.

A brothel of hawfinch.

A kebab of skuas?

A stiffy of woodcock?

Now that brachiopod has lowered the tone of this thread, how about a dangle of *********?

Aaaargh. More unnecessary censorship. What I tried to write was "Dangle of xxx", where xxx is one word, two syllables:

  • first syllable starts with "B" and rhymes with "Hull"
  • second syllable starts with "C" and rhymes with "Sock".

The bird "xxx" is in the list. I don't really understand why this was banned and brachiopod's woodcock wasn't.

The Ab-Ed wouldn't dare touch my woodcock, Xoll.

Anyway, so what's the name for a group of those birds that are very similar to a cormorant? You know, the shag.

polygamy.
