These programmes have got very little to do with who can sing well or who is a pop star. It is all to do with making a TV programme, getting the creator of the programme loads of cash, getting the TV station loads of cash in the form of phone votes, getting up in the TV ratings. As for the performer who won that particular show...who cares...there is always the next show.
