I just wondered if anyone could help so i know what signs to look for.

My kitten of 6 1/2 months was ran over and killed last night by some evil person that just left her in the road, a kind neighbour pick up Tango and brought her home.

The thing is i've got her sole mate left behind the same age they were always together playing, will Cola know that Tango has gone.

thank you

Don't assume that the person who ran your kitten over doesn't care about animals. A couple of years ago I was driving home from a town about 20 miles away. In the car with me were one of my children, my best friend and her two children. Down one road a kitten ran out in front of my car, I managed to avoid it, but not the second kitten that I hadn't initially seen. I made an instant decision not to stop because I had three children in the car who would have been very upset about a dead kitten. I still feel guilty about it now, but I do think I made the right decision.
Seems a sad time at the moment for some of our moggies, sorry to ammo78 for loosing Tango, and Zacsmaster for loosing his old ginger girl. I lost my old cat Puss on the 1st December and it was very sad. Funny things have been happening with Boots my other cat. Puss was always top cat in our house, first to the food and always had the pick of the best sleeping spots like the sofa or our bed, Boots would stand back and take what was left. Anyway this last week Boots had taken to sleeping where Puss did and generally wanting more strokes and cuddles. Puss had a special cushion which I left in its usual place and now Boots has taken it over. I firmly believe that Boots is taking Puss's place in the house and in our hearts. Funny things cats, they are not as daft as you may think.

hi thanks to all for there kind words, i understand that not all people that hit animals are evil, but you can understand that i'm hurt and cola(male) is to. you do say horrible at the time, but also we do have alot of boy/girl racer down my road as they use it for a short cut. also sorry to hear that you lost your baby ZACSMASTER. cola has had lots of cuddles and love take care to you all.
you should get a dog.
ammo, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My little Monty died last July, from hepatitis (after being attacked by a nasty feral tom) and his sister, Cleo, missed him terribly. My vet talked me into adopting a little kitten, Mischa, who had been terribly ill-treated and had had to have one of her front legs amputated, as well as her tail. Must admit, it didn't take a lot of talking into!! Mischa has settled in with my other cats and Cleo absolutely adores her!! They're great friends and play together all the time. Mischa will never replace my dear little Monty, but she's a delight and we all adore her. Perhaps you could get another little friend for your lonesome puss - sometimes it takes time for them to get used to each other, but as your cat is young, he may take to a kitten quite easily, as Cleo did. Good luck and God bless. K xxx
