i want a hummer

i would like to get a hummer (big fat american jeep thingy) but i am unsure as the size of them are enormous and i dont know if it will fit on the english roads?

I have seen these in Canada and over here in London, they are on the large size but I see no problem driving them on the roads over here, If purchased you may have problems with the parking etc as you know parking spaces tend to be a bit on the small size, could end up with a few parking tickets, also I know its sad but the jealousy side should be taken into consideration too, I have had two unusual cars in the past and both have been keyed.just a thought?

I saw Clarkson driving an H2 on typical English roads, and it was totally daft, far to big, he completely blocked a small village because he couldnt go forwards, and count reverse it either. Plus, it was, literally, doing 1 MPH at one point! Why would anyone want such a ridiculous vehicle?

There's a place near me that does them, and they are huge, but seem to have no problems on the roads. My worry would be fule consumption, but then the car itself is costly, so I suppose if you can afford it, go for it!

i think you're insane! have you seen their petrol consumption? They do about 12 mpg (so about 4 milesd to the litre) ... you must be loaded to consider this in which case fair enough. Do you live on a farm or will you be driving around the suburbs with it? I think KJN is right, you could face problems with jealousy if you are in the 'burbs, and definitely with parking. Even some modern cards like ford focus are almost too big for some parking spaces in cities, you willl have giant problems. Also will you be able to fit it in a garage? if not the vandalism problem could get expensive.

You can get new Hummers for around �57k ..lots of money. My soon to be ex wife from Canada went in a Hummer and said it was like riding in a tin can. They do look awesome though. How about something like a Dodge ram? (btw, I have 3 american cars all LHD and dont find it a problem)
