Hello everyone. I recently had my tongue pierced and now I am making my first visit to the dentist since. Should I take my tongue bar out?? Please can I have sensible answers from people who have or have had a pierced tongue please. The last time I got horrible answers from people who have a thing against piercing. Thanks everyone x

Ive now changed dentist and just get disapproving looks instead. If you ever need to have an x-ray at the dentist you will probably be asked to remove it as it interferes with the x-ray. On reading the other replies though Im relieved to hear Im not the only one who had a hard time from their dentist, but its obvious that dentists have a big problem with them, though I dont think its their place to pass comment or judgement if an individual chooses to have a piercing.
