Pinnacle Studio Ver 10 Editing

I have a Sony DCR-DVD201E Video Camera and a brand new ASIS Laptop with Pinnacle Studio Plus Version 10.
Problem is that Pinnacle calls for Firewire to my IEEE-1394 port but the camera supports only USB connection and I am unable to capture anything for editing.
The unedited film has copied to "My Videos": Is there any way that I can capture this into Pinnacle for editing.
