Dell 1720 laptop help

Hi I have a Dell inspiron 1720 laptop. My daughter was using it and she put in the wrong password a few times. Now it wont load up and just displays the following message
'Dell media direct express cannot access your hardrive. This may be because you have enabled Microsoft bit locker (drive encryption).Media Direct Express is not accessible when microsoft bit locker is enabled'. Does anybody know how I can disable this bit locker so I can use my laptop again. Its operating system is windows vista home premium. Thanks very much

Advantage of Dell is that they run a 'shadow' on their systems. Fone them quoting serial nos & they talk you thru.
